Technorati only deals with blogs, unlike google which ranks all websites in order of popularity. Technorati allows users to see how popular their blog is. Technorati organises blogs into rankings and allows the user to see their authority. The ranking shows how high the blog is ranked compared with all other blogs organised by technorati. Currently my ranking is 2 097 270. The authority shows number of links and how recent they are. Currently my authority is 1.
